Alberta Education Assurance Survey – Your Voice Matters!
The Alberta Education Assurance Survey is administered each year by Alberta Education to teachers, students and parents. It provides an opportunity to give feedback on what is working well and what challenges exist in education in Alberta. At Woodlands, our students in Grades 4-6 will participate in the survey in class during the month of February.
Parents, the survey link and access code was emailed to you from the CBE. Attendance Line/Lates (403) 777-8640 ext. 1 or email Woodlands@cbe.ab.ca The results from these surveys are used at the provincial, system and school level to make decisions about school improvement. Please contact the office should you have any questions. Thank you in advance for your feedback.
Volunteer at Woodlands School
Are you wanting to Volunteer in your child’s classroom or on a field trip. All volunteers must have a valid police security check with the Calgary Police Service and have completed the Annual Volunteer Registration Form. Please see the CBE website for more information on volunteering, including the required registration and Police Information Check. All new volunteers must first register with the school (this can also be done online through your MyCBE account). After receiving a letter from the school, parents wait for an email from Calgary Police Service – Record Check, to complete their police security check online. This ensures a voucher will be applied for the cost and there is no charge to parents. A copy of the security check will no longer be shared with schools. Volunteers must upload or bring a paper copy of their clearances to the school for approval before volunteering.
