Students should come dressed appropriately for engaging in an active and respectful learning environment (e.g. Shirts should not display improper words or symbols). Students are reminded to dress for the weather, as they will be going outside for play. Students must have appropriate shoes for daily gym classes. It is recommended that each child have a proper pair of running shoes in the gym and to use as “indoor” shoes throughout the rest of the school. Heelies are not allowed as footwear as they mark our floors and present a safety hazard.

Dress for Success! 

Students go outside for a 15 minute recess and for 20 minutes at lunch to play, socialize and exercise unless the temperature drops below -20 degrees Celsius with the wind chill or is too rainy. With Calgary weather being so unpredictable, students must be prepared for changing weather conditions with proper winter coats, snow pants, hats, boots and warm mittens. Many students are coming to school without these items, especially hats and mittens  Please ensure your child has all essential outdoor items before they leave home, and that they are prepared to wear them here at school.
