Dear Woodlands Families,

Thank you to School Council for supporting our staff with some improvements to the staff room where we eat lunch, dinners and have some of our meetings. The support is greatly appreciated. They provided us with funds to purchase alternative seating options for the space off the office.

Council has been supporting us with Professional Learning, including our ongoing work with 'Layers of Literacy' on October 19. This work is continued from last year that enhances our work supporting reading and writing in our school!

School Council

We are grateful to our School Council and Parent Society for the many ways they support student learning and help strengthen our Woodlands community. Their dedication, time, and commitment make a meaningful difference in the experiences we provide for our students.

Next week, they will be hosting one of our most anticipated annual events, the Halloween Dance! Events like this are only possible because of the incredible efforts of parent volunteers.

Volunteer

Parent volunteers play an important role in creating memorable experiences for our students and helping to build the strong sense of community that makes Woodlands such a special place. Whether you can help at a single event or throughout the year, your support is greatly appreciated.

If you are interested in volunteering, please connect with School Council through Instagram at @woodlands.school.council or by email at woodlands@cbe.ab.ca.

Supporting a Safe School Community

🅿️ Parking & Respecting Our Neighbours

Thank you for helping us be good neighbours by respecting local parking regulations and showing consideration for residents during busy arrival and dismissal times.

🚫🐕 No Dogs on School Property

We would also like to remind families that dogs are not permitted on school grounds. This expectation supports student safety and reflects both CBE (Administrative Regulation 6004 – Animals in Schools and City of Calgary City of Calgary Responsible Pet Ownership Bylaw  prohibits dogs on school property, including playgrounds and sports fields.

Using MyCBE for ALL fee payments is the preferred payment option for all CBE families when paying for school-based and board-based fees.  Credit/Debit card payments can also be made at the school.  No Cash or Cheques accepted in the school office.
