Dear Woodlands Families,

As we wrap up our first three weeks of the school year, I want to take a moment to express how grateful I am to be joining the Woodlands School community as your new principal.

The start of a school year is always an exciting time filled with new routines, new friendships, and new learning opportunities. Over the past three weeks, I have had the pleasure of visiting classrooms, meeting students and staff, and beginning to get to know our families. I have been impressed by the kindness, enthusiasm, and sense of community that make Woodlands such a special place to learn and grow.

Our students have settled into their classrooms beautifully and are already engaging in meaningful learning experiences. As I walk through the school, I see curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and genuine excitement for learning. I am looking forward to supporting our students as they continue to develop academically, socially, and emotionally throughout the year.

Strong partnerships between home and school is important and helps students thrive when we work together. With that in mind, I would like to warmly invite all families to attend our Meet the Teacher Evening on Thursday September 17 from 5 to 7 p.m. This is a wonderful opportunity to visit your child's classroom, meet their teachers, and share a bit about your child. School Council is hosting their “Ice Cream Social” where you can connect with other families in the school community.

Whether you are new to Woodlands or have been part of the community for many years, I hope you will join us. I look forward to meeting many of you and continuing to build a strong, welcoming, and supportive school community together.

Thank you for entrusting us with your children's learning and well-being. I am excited about the year ahead and all that we will accomplish together.

With warm regards,

Marina Clark
Principal, Woodlands School
