This professional learning day has been designed for all staff, regardless of role, to participate in developing foundational knowledge of Indigenous ways of being, belonging, doing and knowing. As a learning organization, we are committed to acknowledging and responding to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action, which includes providing Indigenous Education professional learning for all staff (Call to Action #57). This year, our day of learning will be dedicated to deepening our understanding of the Heart Domain-To Belong as we work together to implement the CBE Indigenous Education Holistic Lifelong Learning Framework across the system. All staff are expected to participate in this learning. This is a non-instructional day for students.
